COMPANYHISTORY

BiField™ Consulting was formed in Tokyo, Japan in 1999. Early on the company served as a vehicle through which to assist foreign IT companies in finding suitable acquisitions or investment targets in the Japanese market. At the time, interest from Hong Kong, Singapore and the United States in the developing Japanese market was extremely high.

In 1999, few people in Japan knew what e-commerce was. What's more, online payment systems simply did not exist. Foreign enterprises sought to arbitrage technical developments in their own country as a run up to what was expected to be a huge market for e-commerce in Japan.

BiField™ Consulting's main clients were small and medium-sized companies, along with the odd start-up looking for investment. During these early days, the company's marquis client was Ogilvy Interactive, a division of Ogilvy and Mather and GOL, a locally founded ISP, later acquired by Fusion Network Services Corp of the United States.

The company developed and maintained strong links with Hong Kong investment companies; it also serviced a number of IT industry companies in the city. However, BiField™ began to take a more active roll in Japanese companies with sufficient investment to weather the IT market turndown. The company worked with start-ups like ValueCommerce (which listed on Mothers in Japan, 2006), and Alienbug, a now defunct web design shop.

In 2002, some 18 months after the internet bubble burst, investment in IT had slowed considerably. BiField™ sought refuge from the meltdown in the online investment/trading arena and worked with such organizations as FXAsia, one of Japan's premier online currency trading organizations.

In the post-IT bubble environment, much of the world's investments began looking to China, and in 2003, BiField™ Consulting changed its name to BiField™ Business Resources, Ltd. The name change reflected the various new services the company would offer, as it set up shop in the PRC's financial juggernaut, Shanghai. The company is Hong Kong registered, and has a registered Representative Office in Shanghai, which serves as its main base of operations.

BiField™ currently has associate-offices in the United States (Washington DC), Australia (Brisbane), South Africa (Johannesburg), Canada (Toronto/St. John), Brazil (Sao Paulo), Russia (Moscow), Singapore, Mexico (Guadalajara) and Japan (Tokyo).

BiField™ continues to develop business that makes sense for the community, aiding foreign capital in entering Greater China and sourcing commodities and technology in serving Chinese industry.
